On this page, you will find examples of my writing works for my fiction writing class. This course involved writing two short stories and an additional honors story.

Beauties and Beasts​
This was my first short story for my class and I went for a mature route. This story isn't pretty by any means, but in the end, I was proud of going outside my comfort zone. My previous teacher told me that I didn't break the rules and go outside my boundaries enough, so I wrote this piece in the intention of making myself uncomfortable.

What the Snow Can't Hide​
I think my writing quality and creative direction took a downfall in this piece. I had a piece in mind, but I didn't have enough time to fully develop my idea. If I were to rewrite a piece in the future, I would choose this one. I think the potential is there, but it wasn't my best work. It deserves more.
Midnight Admirer​
My final piece of the semester was an additional project for the UNL Honors Program. Just like my first piece, I am very proud of this one. I feel like it was well-developed and showcased my talents as a writer. Unlike my other pieces, I didn't receive feedback on this short story. Instead, I had to self-critique myself which I'm not too terribly fond of.
