Lincoln Journal Star

This is my current and most recent internship. I joined the Lincoln Journal Star in May of 2023 as a summer news reporter intern. I've been keeping busy writing feature stories as well as keeping up with breaking news. I've found it thrilling to attend police briefings, fire scenes and even a police stand-off.

In June, I was offered to continue with the internship through the next semester and not too long after I was offered yet another extension through graduation.

Omaha World-Herald

The Omaha World-Herald will always hold a dear spot in my heart as they took me on for my first fellowship as an aspiring journalist. From January 2023 until May, I spent my days working on feature stories, specifically in the arts and entertainment industry. As an avid lover of feature stories, this fellowship allowed me to dive deep into this niche area and learn what it is truly like to work as a journalist.

Daily Nebraskan

A majority of my college career was spent at the Daily Nebraskan at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I joined freshman year as a culture reporter and quickly felt at home writing feature stories, reviews and columns. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I even ventured over to the news side to write a few pieces. I served as the senior culture reporter for my final semester where I was able to help guide new journalists.
