Similar to an internship, this course gave me the opportunity to work on a variety of news pieces that were published on our college's news website. Throughout the semester, we had to create three regular pieces and one multi-media piece for our final assignment.

Small businesses wary of upcoming winter season amidst construction​
The first article I pitched for this class regarded the ongoing construction in Lincoln. I wanted the story to focus on some of the businesses who are going through the same circumstance with different outcomes. This is also my first story in quite a while that I was in charge of taking my own photos as well.

My second article idea was sparked from my own curiosity as I wondered how Spirit Halloween appeared each year. I was curious as to how the store manages to remain successful even though they only exist for a month each year.
